Arepas are round, griddled corn cakes made from corn meal. They're crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and can be served plain or stuffed with delicious fillings.
Often thinner and simpler, usually topped with cheese, butter, or eggs.
Popular variety:
Arepa de ChΓ³colo - made with sweet corn and cheese
Thicker and stuffed with flavorful fillings like shredded beef, black beans, and avocado.
Classic favorite:
Reina Pepiada - filled with chicken and avocado
While making arepas from scratch is simple, not everyone has time to mix, shape, and cook them every day.
No prep needed, just toast and enjoy
Real Latin American taste
No additives, naturally gluten-free
Made with just a few quality ingredients
Available in grocery shops in the Netherlands β our arepas bring authentic flavor straight to your table!
Arepitas was created by Victoria. After she had a ski accident that tore her ACL, her mom flew all the way from Venezuela to help her recover.
Her mom could only stay for a few weeks, but before leaving, she filled Victoria's freezer with homemade arepas. Since Victoria couldn't cook on crutches, those frozen arepas became her lifeline β each one carrying the warmth of family and home.
That's when Victoria realized: everyone deserves to feel that warmth, whether you're recovering from an injury, missing home, or just discovered arepas on your travels. Now she wants to share that family love with the world.
βEvery arepa carries the love of my mother and the warmth of our Venezuelan home. I want everyone to feel that same comfort.β
